Commercial Appliance Cleaning

Commercial Kitchen Appliance Cleaning in Calgary

Fryers, ovens, ranges, grills and ice machines, degreased and documented by the same team that services your hood. Commercial kitchen equipment cleaning is fire prevention and food safety maintenance, not housekeeping, and restaurant equipment cleaning is treated that way here.

Grease on the cookline feeds the same fire

The grease that collects on a fryer cabinet, a burner ring, or a griddle channel is the same fuel that collects inside the hood above it. Cleaning the exhaust system while leaving the cooking line coated addresses half of the problem. The NFPA 96 compliance requirements that govern the exhaust system exist because grease accumulates wherever heat and oil meet.

An ice machine sits at the other end of the risk. It presents no fire hazard, but it is a food-contact surface, and scale and biofilm inside the machine end up in the product served to customers.

Commercial Grill Cleaning

Char-broilers, griddles, and flat tops. Grease channels and catch trays are cleared completely, because an overflowing channel puts grease onto the cookline and into the duct.

One visit, one vendor, one report

Appliance cleaning is performed by the same crew, on the same visit, as hood and exhaust cleaning. The kitchen is taken down once rather than twice, and the documentation arrives as a single service record instead of two from two vendors.

Deck, conveyor, and solid-fuel ovens are covered in more detail on the pizza oven cleaning page. A full list of what the company services is on the services page.

FAQ

Common questions

Can appliance cleaning be done during the same visit as hood cleaning?

Yes. Appliance cleaning is performed by the same crew that services the hood and exhaust system, so both can be completed in a single visit with one service report covering the work.

What does commercial kitchen deep cleaning include?

For appliances, it covers fryers, ovens and ranges, grills and flat tops, and ice machines. Grease is removed from interior and exterior surfaces rather than wiped over, and the work is documented with before-and-after photographs.

Which appliances do you clean?

Fryers, ovens and ranges, grills and flat tops, and ice machines. If a kitchen has equipment outside that list, we assess it on site before quoting rather than committing to it in advance.

Do you work around our service hours?

Yes. Appliance cleaning requires equipment to be off and cool, so the work is scheduled around kitchen hours — after close, before open, or on a day the kitchen is not operating.

What documentation do we receive?

Before-and-after photographs of the appliances serviced and a dated service report. If records are required for insurance, a lease audit, or a health inspection, they are available.

Is Northern Hood and Exhaust insured?

Yes. The company carries $5,000,000 in general liability coverage and the crew is WCB Alberta protected. Proof of coverage is available before work begins.
